Orthopaedic Physiotherapy

What is Orthopedic Physiotherapy?

Orthopedic physical therapy focuses on treating injuries and disorders affecting the skeletal system, including muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, bones, and connective tissue. It encompasses comprehensive care for the entire musculoskeletal system.

Initially, our physiotherapist will conduct a clinical assessment, followed by tailored treatments aimed at addressing the root cause and preventing future issues. The goal of orthopedic physiotherapy is to relieve pain, enhance joint range of motion, improve strength and flexibility, and restore patients to full functional capacity.

Here are some examples of the conditions we treat:

  • Inflammation or injuries in tendons and ligaments of the shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, or foot

  • Meniscus issues

  • Shoulder dislocation and impingement

  • Bursitis

  • Neck, back, and pelvic issues

  • Surgical rehabilitation, such as after joint replacements

  • General postural problems

The sooner we address injuries or issues, the faster you'll recover.
